After Mike Napoli launched a ball into right-center and nearly put the Rangers on top in the sixth, Cardinals hurler Chris Carpenter reacted to Skip Shumaker’s haul by saying “Fuck yeah!”, which we have no problem with.
But then Carpenter glared at Napoli and spouted “Fuck you, you piece of shit!”
Napoli has been tremendous for Texas, and though Carpenter is a former Cy Young winner, been a post-season horse and out-dueled former mate Roy Halladay to get St. Louis into the NLCS, what the hell was that?
You can be emotional and competitive, but to be that overtly disrespectful to your opponents? Really?
